Boat found 500km southwest of El Hierro, Canary Islands, Spain - 55 people had departed from Dakhla, Western Sahara 12 days earlier. 24 lost their lives during the journey, their remains were thrown overboard. The boat was found with 26 survivors and the remains of four people (a man, two women and a girl) inside. Another woman, who was pregnant, died upon arriving to Port of Arguineguín.
